Wingnut Enterprizes produces the most unique items in blown glass and hand forged ironwork that you are likely to find. A great deal of the items that are produced incorporate both glass and metal as well as stone and other materials. We also work with aluminum, stainless steel, copper, bronze and wood. Architectural commissions have been completed for numerous multi-national corporations in North America, Asia, Central America and Europe. These commissions are for such locations as resorts, hotels, restaurants and corporate offices to name a few.
Our company is made up of Jane and Don Pell located on a small acreage near the village of St. Isidore de Bellevue a francophone community located approximately one hours drive north of Saskatoon. |
Don Graduated Sheridan College School of Design in 1975 majoring in both Glass and Metal. After that he apprenticed with well know metal sculptor John McEwan. He has also been lucky enough to work with a number of international recognized artists in both media.
Don himself has become internationally recognized also, with work all over North America, as well as Europe, Asia and South America.
He has also taught design and sculpture workshops at numerous post secondary institutions in Canada and the US. For over 40 years Don's sculptural work is found in both public and private collections thru out North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. Public sculptural commissions have been completed in numerous locations in both Canada and the United States. Don has also won numerous design awards, and participated in both group and solo gallery exhibitions in North America and Europe.
Several years ago Don had the priveledge of creating a sculture show at Kingsbrae Gardens. 29 large outdoor sculptures were created for this event which was very successful and covered world wide. Numerous sculptures were purchased and reside permanently at Kingsbrae Gardens. These sculptures became the core of a permanent sculpture garden.
